How long does each painting take you?

I estimate roughly 5 minutes per person. This could be 4-6 minutes for a single, 8-12 minutes for a couples, 15-17 minutes for a small family. 

Is the number of guests on your live packages the same as the number of paintings?

No, the number you see on my live packages are for individual guests - not paintings. Why? The reason for this is because I know it takes me roughly 5 minutes to paint 1 person. As each wedding is different, that could be a range of singles, couples, and small families. For example, Platinum (70 guests) could be 30 couples, 4 singles, and 2 small families.

How does it work on the day?

I take photos and use these to paint from. This means I can continue working through speeches/dinner. It also reduces any queueing :)

I work chronologically through photos, and once complete they are displayed on mini easels on my table. I ask guests not to take their paintings until you’ve had the chance to see them. 

What do your timings look like?

The most popular time for me to start painting is the drinks reception. I keep your guests entertained while you are getting photos taken!
Before the ceremony also works well, and means I’ll have paintings ready to display at the drinks reception. 
Another option is the evening part of your day - as evening guests arrive and the band gets set up. The most important thing is that I’m able to get enough photos of your guests first.

What happens if there are more people who want paintings than you can do in 1 day?

No probs! I can offer a studio service where I complete any extras for £7 per person.  This is invoiced separately after the wedding. Or, you can choose a hybrid wedding package, which is where I pre-agree to paint half live on the day, and half in my studio. This is a bit cheaper (overall) at £9 per person. What set up do you require on the day?

I should be set up somewhere visible to your guests, otherwise they might miss me. I’m happy for guests to come and watch me paint!
The only thing I need from you is a clear space and access to a plug socket. I bring a display table, easel, easel lamp, & side table. The whole set up is about 6ft long and 4ft wide.

How far do you travel?

I am based in Glasgow but travel all across the UK. I do stay within the central belt of Scotland mostly, but have done weddings in Hampshire, Ireland, and the Midlands. I charge 20p per mile for petrol, but the first 50 miles is free ✨

If my journey exceeds 2.5 hours (one way), I may ask for accommodation cover.
